NBA 2008-09 Season

Cavs play the Suns tonight.

I have a feeling LeBron is going to erupt for at least 40; after all, the Suns play little defense, if any.

LeBron will have a field day.

With the Celtics losing last night, the Cavs are now a full 2 games ahead of the Celtics for the #1 seed in the East. If we win tonight, we will be 2.5 games ahead of them!

Go Cavs!

Also, with Detroit's OT loss to the Knicks and the Cavs' magician-style escape in L.A., what's the magic number down to?

Can they clinch the division tonight? I think it's safe for me to say the Pistons death-grip on the division is over.

My math says that the Magic number is “2.”

We’re 18 up on Detroit, with 19 to play. If we win tonight, and Detroit loses tomorrow at Toronto, it’s ours.

Just as I expected- Cleveland scored 119 points.

Just as you expected? On the road against a very tough Phoenix team? Tough win, but just another testament to how good this Cavs team really is this year....

Oh btw, that ho-hum LeBron James recorded his third straight triple-double, finishing with 34 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds, three blocks and three steals. For those of you who are calling for D-Wade as MVP, I feel sorry for you. LBJ is willing this team to victory, night in and night out!

And Wade isn't? I bet Cleveland would bet just as good IF Wade was there instead of Lebron....or if Kobe was there instead of Lebron.

Lebron is the BEST player in the World....

I don't. They'd be good with Wade, but not this good. And unfortunately, that's what you and a million other people don't quite get yet......

LeBron makes everyone around him better. When was Mo Williams ever considered an All-Star before he came to Cleveland? Delonte West was a bench player in Boston. Now he's starting caliber on this Cavs team. What about the "Europen Stiff or Buckwheat" as you call them? Do you think they'd be this good on another team? Don't you think LeBron had something to do with that? Maybe, just maybe?

LeBron doesn't just jack 30 shots up a game like D-Wade and Kobe. He may not always score 30+ points a game. But believe it or not, there are other factors in the game that lead to victories than just individual point totals.

LBJ has the uncanny ability to make everyone around him better. He's highly unselfish. He's one of the best passers in the game. He would rather pass to the open man that jack up a shot while being triple teamed. He steals, plays defense and blocks shots. He's more productive when on the court that any other player in the world and that's proven through the PER stat. He's a leader on and off the court. He's the ultimate team player.

Fault him all you want for trailing D-Wad on the PPG stat by 1 measly point in the stat column. But if that's all your looking at, you obviously dont' see the whole picture. Cleveland is blessed to have a guy like LeBron on our team. He's more valuable to our team than any other player on any other team. I wouldn't swap him for anyone.

And btw, isn't it all about wins and losses? That's what it all comes down to right? The Heat with Wade are 6 games above .500. The Cavs are tied for the best record in the NBA. A real MVP shouldn't be awarded for mediocrity.

Delonte West took another hard fall last night and hurt his back. Let's hope its not too bad. I'd be shocked to see him playing tonight, though.

I saw that on the highlights. He came down on it pretty hard. I haven't heard any updates yet. Hopefully he's ok.

It looked pretty bad and he was down for quite a while in obvious pain.

Lebron also went down last night for a long time. I know he can be a bit dramatic, but last night I was sure that he seriously injured his knee, but like he has done in the past, he popped up and continued to play........at times he reminds me of the boy who cried wolf :)

Yeah, LeBron has a flare for the dramatic. I never know when he's really hurt or not.

Cavs officially clinch the division with a Pistons' loss in Toronto.

If not, then the Cavs just have to wait until Saturday to beat a pathetic Sacramento Kings team.
