NBA 2008-09 Season

Looks like the Celtics have another injury to deal with as Rajon Rondo could miss seven to 10 days.

Rondo was out of the lineup Sunday against the Magic, and his absence was obvious from the start. Reserve guard Stephon Marbury started in place of Rondo and recorded zero assists while scoring just four points.

I know it's sounds strange, but I think the C's actually miss Rondo more than KG.

They simply have more viable options at the 4 spot.

The Utah Jazz are getting really, really scary.

How this banged-up team is on a 12-game winning streak is amazing.

Are the Jazz that good?

Is Sloan that good a coach?

Or is it the schedule?

It's very similar to the streak Houston went on at this time last season.

IIRC, the Rockets had a 22 game winning streak broken up by the Celtics in Houston. That was the week the Celtics went on their impressive sweep of the "Texas Triangle".

All of the above.

BTW, Deron Williams is not talked about enough when discussing the elite PG's in the NBA. On any given day, he can be as good or better than Chris Paul.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Clippers are blowing out the Cavs!

HD, I hope all the big wins by Ohio college hoops team will make up for what is looking like an inexplicable disaster.

Tomorrow, HD is going to blow up like an angry volcano.

OH. MY. GOD.

Cleveland came all the way back and WON.

UNBELIVEABLE.

They were down HUGE throughout the game, and... they still came back... and won.

Wow. Just WOW.

That fourth quarter summed up the fortunes of the Cavs and Clippers in a nutshell, capped off by the ugliest-looking airball I have EVER seen.

Anybody on this site could have at least drawn iron.

I'm glad someone stayed up for the late game. I fell asleep at halftime. Before I fell asleep, I didn't like what I saw at all. I thought this would be one of those games that we just gave away. Chalk it up as a loss, right?

The Cavs had a measly 34 points at halftime and were trailing by 14. The Clippers had nothing no lose and the Cavs looked sluggish. Fast forward to the 4th quarter and the Cavs were still trailing the Clippers by 17! So much for a comeback, right?

But, wait..... the team didn't give up on defense and started to cause turnovers. The Cavs offense finally awoke to score 35 in the final quarter, while holding the Clipps to only 14. Then the unthinkable.... Mo Williams for 3 with six-seconds left in the game gave the Cavs the lead for the first time the entire night!

Final Score: Cavs 87, Clippers 83. This is yet another example of how these Cavs NEVER give up on a game! This game will be referenced come playoff time to ease the psyche of the team. Yes, insurmountable comebacks are possible and these Cavs proved they can do the unthinkable.

Oh, and that other player, LeBron James.... he somehow managed to rack up another triple double. 32 pts, 13 reb, 11 ast. MVP who???? According to Salsa, LBJ may not be the MVP, but that doesn't mean he's not the best player on the planet!

Go Cleveland Cavaliers!!!!!!!!!! WHooooo Haaaaa!!!!!

Awesome win by the Cavs! It's great to see them win a game on the road when they didn't bring their 'A' game - - - this is a sign of a special team. Unfortunately, I also fell asleep on the couch while watching it....I woke up to Austin Carr screaming after Mo's 3 to win it :)

I know. I'm acknowledging that. Thank you. Slow down on the coffee in the morning my friend. :)
