NASCAR 2010 Season

He should have started at the tail end of the lead lap, but they let him pass the pace car under caution. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm quoteing my own poast because my edit button seems to be missing. Any way, I read that JJ beat the pace care to the scoring line, that's why he stayed on the lead lap. I thought he was allowed to go around the pace car. At any rate, I agree with Iceberg. Others would have been a lap down, and i do believe a couple did go a lap down during that pit stop.

Nobody who works for NASCAR will say this in public but if Jimmie continues to lead in the points all year you will see fans tuning out. Jimmie has a personality of a wet blanket. He's like the rich kid who comes in and spoils the party. I don't care what anyone says in public, winning 5 championships in a row is bad for the sport.

Much the same as when Gordon had his run of dominance, people got tired of him too.
One different call and Gordon may have won the race.
Of course, you don't like Gordon either do you, He's pretty much Johnson's big brother.

I agree. I got dollars to donuts that if JJ has like a 250 point lead at the Chase and it resets back to maybe a 20 point lead you'll see a change next year for the chase in the points.

Honestly it should be 50 points per race won, not 10

Iagree that the points will be adjusted, thats kinda why NASCAR did it this way, they always have to have fluctuating rules.

However, if they move the race winner to getting 50 points, Johnson would have a MUCH larger lead than he already has (last year and this year so far, johnson doesn't lead this year , but he'll be there soon.)

no I mean when the chase starts...like they do now but ya only get 10 points for winning a race in the 1st 26

so when the chase starts and they reset everyone at 5000 points, give them 50 for each win to reward them instead of 10. I mean geez giving someone say 40 points for winning 4 races during the 1st 26 when they were leading the points by 150 doesnt give them much of a "bonus". In one race they can go from leading to 12th.

Its an incentive to win

So how do you feel when the Chase starts and JJ had 6 wins this year and starts the chase 300 points ahead ?

Of course there will be others that will also have wins that are in the chase so it won't be 300 ahead of everyone, but potentially the last few chasers, maybe more will not have any wins at the end of the regular season.

I could very easily see them giving a driver 25 points for a win.

well wonder what cousin Carl will get penalty wise for what he did to Keseloswki???

Speed showed an angle where he clearly turned the wheel to hit Keso....nice flip though :)

I wonder if there will be any talk of the car possibly NOT flipping had they had a Spoiler on instead of the wing still ?

they mentioned it on Fox
Bristol cant come soon enough...then they go back to the spoiler

Doubt that the Spoiler will have any effect on the race at Bristol though.
Hell they only run at what about 90-100 MPH there ?

Spoiler won't have any effect on the short tracks.

Q. Why are they not racing next week ?

just the way the schedule is set up. Some dates on the schedule are the same weekend every year and the way the calender is set up that is how it is.

They have next week off then 2 weeks then a week off again (Easter).

just looking at previous years...last year ran the same way...break before Bristol.
08 was Bristol, break, Martinsville
07 was 2 then a break
06 was 2 then a break

so there really si no rhyme or reason
