The Super Bowl of Racing. Why can't they make sure things like this don't happen? Did I hear correctly? Daytona hasn't been repaved since 1970 something? Due to be repaved next year.

Looks like NASCAR broke their own don't race to the checkered flag rule. That last lap should have been frozen according to the rule book. Shame on NASCAR!!! TSK TSK TSK...

Was an amazing finish. Hated all the stopage time, but glad they finished the race!

I was shouting at my tv the whole time wanting JR to win it! Great start for the season though!

I'm almost glad Jr. didn't win it although it was a great push by him at the end.

Reason behind my thinking is, normally the person that has won the 500 has went on to have a dismal season.

I'll gladly take 2nd tonight.

Where in the world did Jr come from?

Jr was running around 15-17 in the last 50 and then when it got to around the last 5 l;aps or so he had worked his way up to 10 and went from 10 to 2nd in the last two laps.

Kinda thought of his Daddy the way he came up to the front of the pack late :up

Its at discretion of NASCAR and as I posted back a few pages ago the wreck was on the backstretch and out of the way so why throw the yellow?

There would have been a riot if they threw the yellow when there was NOTHING ahead of the leaders except the finish line

Watching this race was like driving on the turnpike and have to stop and go all the time. Seeing a DEI car win was great after all the trash being thrown at Teresa Earnhardt.

I'm just disappointed that Kenseth didn't do better. He's used to driving on roads with potholes.
