Finding a team to take those bloated contracts that Theo gave was a coup by Cherington. Gonzalez, with his quiet, unassuming demeanor and boring personality was a poor fit for a Sox clubhouse in the need of leadership. There's clearly no bitterness from this Sox fan. Thanks again Magic!!!

I'll say this. On this date, July 25, 2013, this trade has helped both teams. The Dodgers got more production out of 1st and LF, and the Sox got to free their payroll to sign players more fitting for their team. So we both can thank Magic.

Shredder is awesome. I love that dude.

Out of the players we got the only one I regret is Beckett. Not because he is done for the year, but because he is a Debby Downer. I think one of the reason the Dodgers are doing better is because he is no longer in the dugout bringing negative energy.

Even though Crawford has been injured a lot, he has been productive when he is playing and has been positive.

I agree about Beckett. I have now idea why he turned into such a Debby Downer. But again, at least he has won something, and has done it on the biggest stage ('03 and '07). The opposite is true with Gonzalez.

Playing most of ones career with the Pads will tend to result in few championships.

Is D*'s MLB Freeview over now ?
I was hoping to listen to the Dodgers feed, if Vin Scully is calling it, but when I tune to the other feed, it says it will look for the game as it's not available to me on that feed.

Today is the last day of the free view. I can't get the Reds feed at all since the Dodgers are my local team.

Update. Reds scored 1 run in the first off an Xavier Paul HR and 1 run in in the second off an Iszturis bloop single.

Dodgers only got a single by Gonzalez in the first and a hard line out with a good leaping catch by Votto in the first, and three soft ground outs in the second.

Going to the third with Greinke not pitching well at all. He just doesn't have it today. He's not hitting his spots and his velocity is a little down. Looks like the Reds have this game already wrapped up.

Man is Grienke stinking it up. This has to be the worst game he has pitched all year. 4 runs through 6 innings. That is disgustingly horrible. Aside from Capuano, this is the worst start I have seen of any Dodger pitcher. One solo HR and one 2 run HR. the worst thing is he only has 3 Ks and 2 against the pitcher.

The only good thing is the only base-runners he has allowed are those that scored. They have pretty much not got anyone else on base.

Nope. You can only watch the local feed. You can only watch both feeds on out of market games.

He has decided to step down and back into the VP of Operations position, I believe thats where he was before the hitting coach thing came up.

Even though the Giants won 1 of 4 against the Reds, it was still considered a sweep by the Reds. The 1 game the Giants won counted for the previous series.

The only reason they won that one game was because they had to bring up a pitcher from the minors due to the doubleheader.
