MLB 2013 Season

If they hit the same way they hit against the Giants, yes the Dodgers will cool off. Very impressed with their offense.
I doubt they will be as productive against the Dodgers pitching. The Dodgers pitching is much much much better than the Giants pitching. They probably have the best starting staff in the NL, if not, MLB.

The Giants starting staff makes every teams' offense look impressive. Outside of Bumgarner and Zito, the rest of their starting staff has stunk all year. Lincecum and Cain have been their worst pitchers.

The Dodgers are awesome.

You can roll your eyes all you want, but it IS a fact that they have the best record in baseball over the last month and are just as awesome during that time as they were crappy prior.

So, yes, currently they are awesome.

Kemp been placed back on the DL.

He plays one game after coming off, was a triple shy of the cycle, injures his ankle, and goes right back to the DL.

Even though the Giants won 1 of 4 against the Reds, it was still considered a sweep by the Reds. The 1 game the Giants won counted for the previous series.

Giants pitching has been awful this year, pitching won us the championship last year. The only pitcher that has been consistent is Bumgarner but Zito, Cain and everyone else have been awful all year long.

Reds vs Dodgers should be a good series. Dodgers are what? 23-5 over the last 28 games. Dang, they are hot. They have everything to win it all this year but we'll see, I'm sure other teams will have some to say about that. :)

You are right about Zito. For some reason I thought he was having a good year, but it was last year where he did better than any of the other years with the Giants, his only winning season.

And 3 of those 5 losses were from Cappuano pitching and giving up a ton of runs (there only bad pitcher who is filling in for 3 others on the DL), and 1 loss was a Kershaw game where he only gave up 2 runs, pitched a complete game, and lost 2-0.

This will be a good series. Any team can take 3 of 4. I doubt there will be a sweep and all games should be close. I actually predict a split in the series. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the Dodger losses is when Kershaw pitches. He has an ERA under 2 and for some reason when he pitches he gets no run support, no matter who he faces. The Dodgers will score 10 runs in one game and score 0 runs in the next game when Kershaw pitches.

Sorry, but I'm convinced that ANY team that employs Adrian Gonzalez will NEVER win a championship!

He is one of the reasons the Dodgers are in first. He has been their most consistent and productive hitter all year. And the only run producer on the team who hasn't been on the DL. Kemp and Ramirez have missed more time than they have played.

Watch the life in this dugout now, including AGon. They are excited to play, chanting "What a team" every time they do something productive.

Trust me when I say this is a totally different team than the one at the beginning of the season.

I saw the other day that he hit his first ever go ahead home run in the 8th inning or later. This bum is so anti-clutch is not even funny. He has great stats but a losers mentality.

Red Sox have 61 wins this year, with a bunch of injuries, because of getting rid of guys like Adrian Gonzalez.

He sure isn't anti-clutch with the Dodgers. He has the most game winning RBIs on the team, and the most RBIs. If it weren't for him, the would NOT be in first.

That's the thing, I don't care what Gonzalez's numbers are. Show me when the chips are down in Sept/Oct. He's been a part of three consecutive late season crash and burns, including an all time epic one in 2011.

I'm not doubting the Dodgers as a team, but I am doubting Gonzalez. So I guess since he is a Dodger, it's guilt by association. IMO, three years is a long shot to be a coincidence.

At least Josh Beckett came up big with the Marlins in '03 and the Red Sox in '07 before he himself got big. I'm not a huge Carl Crawford fan by any means, but at least he helped the Rays to a pennant. What exactly has Adrian Gonzalez accomplished other than scoring a huge contract, being a part of three straight collapses on three different teams and bitch about too many Sunday night games??!!

I understand the Sox fans bitterness. But don't ignore stats because of an ugly divorce.

Gonzalez has a good BA with RISP. He is a clutch hitter.

Ugly divorce??? Are kidding me?? We were doing cartwheels getting rid of this entitled bum!!

If I'm bitter about anything, it's the fact that we had to give up Nick Punto!

Shredder is awesome. I love that dude.

Out of the players we got the only one I regret is Beckett. Not because he is done for the year, but because he is a Debby Downer. I think one of the reason the Dodgers are doing better is because he is no longer in the dugout bringing negative energy.

Even though Crawford has been injured a lot, he has been productive when he is playing and has been positive.
