Hannigan hasn't played as many games due to platooning. His hitting this year has tanked.

It's more of a fun event than a serious game. Most people would rather see David Ortiz hit than Max Sherzer so it makes sense.

I agree. The AS game shouldn't determine home field advantage. It should either go by who has the better record or they should just alternate years.
