Did anyone see that the Reds scored 9 runs in the 9th inning when the score was tied? That was crazy. They had like 3 infield hits.

A day after the Cards themselves had a 9 run 4th inning against the Giants.

Yep, it's most likely a combination of simple math and road trip convenience....

It doesn't bother me much. I wish they would make the DH rule consistent throughout the MLB though. Either have it or don't but make it the same for everyone. Besides that I like seeing matchups you wouldn't normally get to see so it's ok with me.

Excellent point brought up on Mike&Mike this morning: The lack of involvement from Dodgers C A.J. Ellis to protect Greinke. Quentin didn't immediately sprint to the mound, Ellis had plenty of time to try and help diffuse the situation by getting in between him and Greinke, like a good teammate would do. Or, maybe more....

I can assure you that the late reaction by Ellis had everything to do with it taking everyone by surprise and had absolutely nothing to do with reluctance to support his pitcher.

Everyone except for Quentin knew it was not intentional and it never occurred to them that he would charge the mound.

Reading the Twitter feeds from the Dodger players I can assure you they are all 100% behind Grenke.

Both Hariston and Kemp got suspended because of what happened after the benches cleared. They knew he was taken out because he was injured. He was not kicked out by the umps. The Padres were making fun of him being injured and his ADHD. That is when Kemp and Harriston really got pissed and instigated another bench clearing event.
