It is unlikely that the backup players they are fielding can score more than 2 runs.

Their lead off hitter is batting 4th, their #5 hitter is batting .240 with only 7 HRs. That is the best they have outside of Gonzalez.

Cahill is 5-0 lifetime against the Dodgers and that is against good teams, not this one.

I do expect the Dodgers to have better luck the next two days with Greinke and Kershaw facing worse AZ pitchers. They should also get at least one power bat back.

Interesting. Through 5 innings both the DBacks and Dodgers have exactly 1 hit.

The difference is the two offenses. AZ is capable of hitting HRs, the current Dodger offense is not.
