Looking into it, you are correct. The Reds starting staff is second only to the Dodgers in most of the categories, including ERA. Since the Reds play in an offensive park, that is actually pretty impressive.Reds aren't deep? How many 5th starters in the majors are over .500? The Reds have the deepest starting 5/6 of any team. Cingrani is doing great and he came up from the minors to replace their ace when he got hurt.
Win loss is not indicative of depth. The comments I made were in comparisons to only those teams that will most likely go to the playoffs. When compared to the Braves, Dodgers, and Cards, the Reds starting staff is not as deep.
Your #5 starter has made only 17 starts.
Your #4 starter is a .500 pitcher
Arroyo is barely over .500
All of your pitchers have ERAs well over 3, except for Latos.
The Reds have the second best ERA in the Majors and the 5th starter is Mike Leake, he has made more that 17 starts.
About 30 minutes too late.

If they did this in the ninth instead of the tenth, we wouldn't have gone extra innings. Why have Choo bunt the runner to second when Hamilton could be at third on two pitches?
