MLB 2013 Season

Don't want to jinx it, but Koji is as automatic as you can get!! Red Sox win 2-1

Yeah he was pretty nasty in the 9th. Dirks hit a weak pop up to 2nd and the other two didn't even come close to putting a ball in play.

Funny how much faster that "too late" arrives in this post-steroids era.

I get what you're saying and maybe I haven't been reading enough but I don't think I've ever heard any of those three guys being suspected or connected to steroids.

Dodgers just matched their win total from last year

They have won 6 in a row and have a .600 wining percentage for the first time all year.

The teams fighting for their divisions really have some incentive:

Major League Baseball announced its playoff schedule on Tuesday, revealing that the American League wild card game will be played on Wednesday, Oct. 2 and both of the AL’s Division Series’ will begin Friday, Oct. 4.

The Red Sox currently sit atop the AL East, 5 games ahead of the Rays. If that holds, they would have four days to rest between the end of the regular season (Sept. 29 in Baltimore) and the start of the ALDS.

The American League Championship Series is set to begin Oct. 12, with a potential Game 7 on Oct. 20.

Game 1 of the World Series will take place on Oct. 23 in the American League champ’s ballpark. A potential Game 7 would be Thursday, Oct. 31 (yep, that’s Halloween).

I didn't mean them. I mean, for the last few decades, if a team had a nucleus of players under contract or control who were around thirty years old, they seemed to be set for years to come, but now we are realizing that in real life, players are again going to begin breaking down and declining starting in their late 20s.

It is a good day being a pirate fan, next win will be better then onto winning the division hopefully and with some luck the world series.

I'm not guaranteeing it, just that this is good but might as well try to do more while they here.
