MLB 2012 Postseason

I figured you were one of the teams I mentioned above :)
Yeah. But as you should know, Dodgers and Giants are one of the biggest rivalries in all of sports. I would even say it is bigger than the Yanks and RedSox, but the east coast media will tell you otherwise. ;) So no self respecting Dodgers fan would ever root for the Giants under any circumstance.

You mean the Skankees and RedSox :D I am Dodger fan and there minor league team the Albuquerque Dukes who I sw alot when I visited my grandparents when I was a kid but have been Cardinal fan since I was a kid and live here in Saint Louis and lived in Georgia so Braves fan also :)

Sunday's Playoff Schedule

Cardinals (Carpenter) at Giants (Vogelsong)- NLCS...Cardinals lead series 3-2- 7:30pm ET (FOX)

Originally, I hoped the Cards would wrap it up Friday so both teams had about the same time off ... seeing that didn't work, if it goes 7 I'd be good with that too ... particularly if the Giants won ... just because I like thier ball park.

Congrats to BIll and all Red Sox fans! You have a great new manager and will have lots of money to spend this offseason. I fully expect the Red Sox to once again make it very difficult on the Angels in 2013.

Yes, congrats Bill on getting Farrell. He seemed like a favorite to replace Bobby V. Seemed like hes a good fit for Boston.

I really have no faith in the Giants. I dont think I've ever seen a team as pesky as the Cards. Just when you think you have them beat they come back. Look at some of the guys who step up there game. Last year it was David Freeze, this year it was Matt Carpenter who filled in when Beltran got hurt. Its just incredible.

Saint Louis Cardinals since I live in Saint Louis :) Who you rooting for riffjim? :)

Detroit Tigers! In a way I would like to play the Cardinals once again in the World Series. Of course, the Cards are such a pain in the arse don't die team that I may want to play to Giants. Either way, we're (me, Jimbo, satjay, king3pj, Jag72, ckhalil18, Paul Wozniak and others) look forward to some good baseball in the World Series. :)

Tigers stick to basics in setting rotation for World Series

The Tigers have no reason to make any changes to their postseason starting rotation. So they won’t.

Tigers manager Jim Leyland told Bob Nightengale of USA Today that Justin Verlander will start Game 1, Doug Fister will start Game 2, Anibal Sanchez will start Game 3 and Max Scherzer will start Game 4 no matter which team — Cardinals or Giants — his club winds up facing in the 2012 World Series.

Those four registered a 0.66 ERA last round against the Yankees, allowing just two runs on 14 hits over 27 1/3 combined innings. That’s the second-best mark in a best-of-seven, behind only the 1966 Orioles.

Now how many are favoring the Giants? Like I said earlier, once the Giants won game 5, they are now the favorites to win this series. Now with game 7 at home with better pitching than the Cards, they have to be the favorites.

Always nice to see the GOOD things NFL players do
