MLB 2012 Postseason

Looking at my facebook feed you would think that the Tigers just won the ALCS by sweeping the Yankees. ;)

Hopefully they will win it all and I can replace some of my 84 world series memories. I can still remember the 84 series like it was yesterday.

'84 was a magical season from start to finish. This season has been more challenging since we struggled and often underperformed much of the season. However, it's been magical for the past month and I'm still hoping to experience that impossible to describe jubilation of winning a World Series - it's orgasmic times 1000. :)

How many people would have picked Delmon to be the 2012 ALCS MVP? Congrats!

He's managed to light it up in the Post Season two years in a row.

Personally, I may have sat him with the way he was hitting at the end of the season.

Q. Delmon Sits in 4 of the next 7 games, unless you want to put him in LF and make the position a liability.

Same here, but not Replace them, add to them !

Is it just me, or did this sweep just seem so bla? It just seemed like they won just a regular season game. Even the Tigers were not celebrating that much. It had the same feel as when the Braves would win their division during their consecutive division title streak.

I am sure if you are a Tigers fans you would feel differently, but what about those non Tigers fans? Did you guys get the same feeling as me?

Maybe it is because I got caught up the the surprise drama with the A's and O's, that anything after that just seemed so expected.

Technically, you shouldn't over due the celebration for winning the ALCS/NLCS, the real celebrating will be winning the WS.

BTW, Fox Sports Detroit is still doing post interviews and talking about the game and upcoming WS.

BTW, the celebration in the locker room is much more than was shown on TBS.

It is not so much the celebration. I guess it was more of the fact that it was a given that they would win after winning the firs two games. So the rest of the series did not have any drama. Plus the fact that the Yanks never led nor did they look like they even cared. When one team appears to give up it makes the whole series seem uneventful.

Now that I think about it. It is not the Tigers that made it Blah, it was the Yankees.

Regardless, Congrats to you Tigers fans.

Why, because they couldn't hit the Tiger pitching ?

I'm tired of hearing in the media how the yanks didn't do this or that ... like the Tigers had nothing to do with it.

Don't get wrong. I am not taking anything away from the Tigers at all. They deserved to win. They beat the hottest team, the A's, and the team with the best record, the Yanks. They did so as the team with the 7th best record in the AL. That should definitely be commended. They have the best hitter in the game and one of the best pitchers as well.

It just seemed like the Yanks did not care.

I'm sure that short series cost TBS quite a bit of money.

How sweet.....go tigers, come on Ron Darling, how painful for you to have to give the Tigers some credit :)

Darling didnt give credit to the Tigers? Unfortunetly, the Yankees are the big story because of A-Rod etc. even though the Tigers played exceptionally well. They deserve to win the ALCS. They were outstanding and I take nothing away from them.

You say Yankee implosion, I say Tiger explosion.

I know all our Tigers fans are feeling pretty good right now. It's almost time to celebrate! :)

Very shocked that CC emploded like that. I mean I knew the Tigers were good but CC is no scrub. Hes a very good pitcher. Again, nothing against the Tigers, though. They earned it.

Congrats to Jimbo, Riff, Satjay, king3pj and any other Tigers fans on here.......your team is the BEST of the AMERICAN LEAGUE 2012!! Best of luck in the World Series.....Go American League and Go Tigers!! :)

I totally agree!! Congrats you guys. Savor this moment!!! I wish you luck in the World Series!!

Don't see to much of Mr. Illitch, hope they can get one for him

Sad to see Mr. I going down hill as much as he has in the last few years ....

This would be a GREAT WIN for him and the team and fans.

Mr. I seemed ill. Has he been feeling ok?

I want to give A-Rod credit for being a stand up guy and do the post game interview and answered every question and never bashed anyone and took the high road all the way.

Always nice to see the GOOD things NFL players do
