MLB 2012 Postseason

It will be the Tigers in either St. Louis or San Francisco, when the World Series starts next Wednesday night. I wonder who will get the start for the Tigers in Game 1? :D

Never gave up when the going was rough, like thru most of the season, but they didn't make it easy getting there.

Several times I thought they were probably done, but the made it.

I remember going 2/3rds of the season not being able to win more than 2-3 games in a row ....

Then THIS at the end of the season and in the Post Season, this is Great.

Many said if anything the Tigers were built for the playoffs, if they could get there, they'd be tough.

I will admit, and there are posts on it....the regular season frustrated me big time.....But it's a new season now :)

I wonder ...
If the Tigers go on to Win the upcoming WS, Will Jim Leyland accept the contract for the next year(s), they wouldn't fire him if he wins the WS ....

Or will he Walk Away on top like his buddy Tony LaRussa did.

That was great! I loved how they threw in the little tidbit about Delmon Young having as many RBI as the Yankees had runs in the ALCS.

It's hard to image our being in a World Series without Ernie. :hatsoff:

Thanks for sharing this ...
The last half is very touching, particularly if your a Tiger fan that grew up listening to Ernie as I did on my portable transistor radio.

Dad, can I have another 9v battery !

Of course a lot will depend on what happens in games 1 through 3, but it will be intersting to see if Leyland goes with Verlander in games 1-4-7.

I probably would. With the travel days it shouldn't be too bad.

I think he is done either way...would be nice for the send off but I think this season has been taxing on him

Always nice to see the GOOD things NFL players do
