I think they were still worried about his shoulder. With the big lead and him crossing 100 pitches they probably decided to play it safe.
Thats true, being around 100 pitches already probably had something to do with it.
That said, I think they pulled him in the 6th last time as well.
I didn't happen to notice how fast he was throwing thru the game, they said he was dropping down to around 90mph when they pulled him last week.
I know all our Tigers fans are feeling pretty good right now. It's almost time to celebrate!
That's depends if we're planning to bring in Valverde in order to build his confidence and self-esteem. Speaking of...any change Leyland brings in Valverde for the 9th?
Two teams I did/do not want to go to the WS, the Yanks and Giants. Looks like one is down, now we only need the Cards to finish off the Giants the next two days.

If he is planning on throwing him out there at all in the World Series I think he almost has to have him pitch the 9th. Supposedly they found and corrected a mechanical problem. I think you have to see if he has still got it or not before you throw him into a high pressure situation in the World Series.
