Ty "Babe" Pedroia just his his third homer of the game and is 5 for 5, giving Papelbon the opportunity to blow the save twice in one game.
IF Papelbon is up for trade talks, the Sox would want a mint, they probably don't want to get rid of him, but if the right offer came along .....

This kid may as well retire, now, he'd go in the HOF by the end of the month.
Strasberg has pitched in a TOTAL of 4 GAMES and they said it would be a TRAVESTY if he doesn't make the ASG.
That AMERICA WANTS to see him.

I would LOVE to have a chance to see the guy, I like him and hope he does well, but this is just ludicrous, the media is going to make people hate him.

And the worst part of this- the announcers pushing Strasburg are calling a Yankees/Dodgers game, while Strasburg is with his team in Baltimore.
It's one thing to push a guy playing in that game, but this is quite another.
Watching the Sox at SF today and it seems like there are more Sox fans in attendance than Giants fans. Even the guy that got Papi's HR in the bay was a Sox fan.

That was the wost game I have seen the Yanks play early on, the Dodgers play later on, and the home plate up call throughout.
And the Padres are 15 games over .500 coming up on the All-Star break, Dodgers in 3rd behind the Giants. Who would have thunk it?

After watching 3 weeks of inter-league baseball, I have come to a conclusion. I could never be a day to day fan of an NL team, it is like watching paint dry/

The best pure hitters will always be in the AL now, because of the DH. The NL plays baseball the way it should be played. Offense, defense and pitching must all be balanced. You really have to manage the game in the NL.
Try watching the Padres for a weekend! BUT, they are play baseball the old fashion way....pitching and defense. AND it has them in 1st place with the best record in the National League.
