MLB 2010 Season

...who's hotter than David Ortiz?:p

Just some guy I've never heard of named Nelson Cruz.

In spite of a pathetic entire month of April, Ortiz is now 8th in the league in homers in about 40 fewer at bats than the leaders, and second in homers per at bat, trailing only the mysterious Mr. Cruz. Ortiz has also worked his way up to 22nd in RBI and is presently 5th in RBI per at bat.

Cruz has missed 17 games, including tonight's, yet has 10 homers and 34 RBI in just 106 at bats, along with a .330 batting average. He couldn't make a major league roster in 2008 and had to be released because he was out of options, and presently is playing this year for the bargain basement price of just $440,000.

Nelson Cruz has been out there for a long time ..... just not someone you hear much from.

I don't know where you found the stats on Ortiz, I find them interesting ....
Do they list like the top 10 type thing ?

If so, where does Miguel Cabrera show up on those lists ?

I didn't find them. I "ciphered" them.

ESPN's site has "sortable" stats. You click the catagory you're interested in, and it rearranges the players names by that stat. When it comes to mental arithmetic, I'm half way to being an idiot savant, and I can further process them from there.

I forgot about the sortable section.....

fwiw,

Miguel Cabrerra :

BA. .341 (4)
HR 13 (4)
RBI 44 (1)

I'll take Miguel over David Ortiz any day.
Hopefully he doesn't replace Ortiz anytime soon.

How about them Reds? They are doing great now, just hope they can keep it up.

Did anyone see the celebration after that walkoff grand slam? Guy broke his ankle when he tried to jump on the plate.

I am so glad I have EI. I love listening to Vin Scully call a baseball game.
