MLB 2010 Season

See for yourself. I think the announcers are right in that the kid was pitching a good game and A-Rod* was trying to get in his head a little....

Arod has to be the most hated man in baseball if you're not a yankee fan. I can't stand his arrogance .

I didn't know about this rule....never heard of it. And besides, who gives a sh** if someone crosses the pitchers mound?

Well, if there is one it's unwritten, so technically it's not a rule. ;)

Also, Braden can't claim the mound as his; after all he does have to share it with another pitcher.....

...except when he has 6 HRs and 18 RBIs with a BA of over .400 and and OBP of over .500....in last years post season.

...then they love him!;)

Not completely. Never completely. We'll take his production on the field, but there are tons of Yankee fans who still dislike him intensely. The guy is somewhat of a pariah in his own house.

Can you show me one time when a player has done this before? While not a written rule players don't walk on the mound for a few reasons. One is respect for the game . But I wouldn't expect Arod to have much respect for it . Being one of the highest paid players in the game you would think he would have more class but then again, steroids.

And Arod shows what a true ass he is here.
"He just told me to get off his mound. I was a little surprised. I'd never quite heard that. Especially from a guy that has a handful of wins in his career ... I thought it was pretty funny actually."

He has done what he was contracted to do. Hit home runs, drive in runs and help win.

Not everyone can be a Jeter.

Get over yourself! It was not that much of a big deal. Do every day batters/players get upset when a pitcher in the NL tries to dig in the batters box as if he was actually gonna do anything there?

Very true. And we appreciate the home runs, etc. He's earning his money.

But he is not, and will never be, considered a Yankee. He's more like a Roger Clemens-like mercenary.

If Jesus Montero was a third baseman, Yankee fans would be openly rooting for him to replace A-Rod. ;)

Now, now....don't complain about the mercenary. Was it one of those Steinbrenners that said, "I am giving the fans steak, they don't ask how I killed the cow"...? LOL! Your team has perfected the art of hiring mercenaries.

Be haapy he is not a Red Sox, some of those recent playoff and World Series wins would NOT be there without him.
