Although Manny does add significantly to their offense, not only by himself, but he also makes everyone else better, the Dodgers offense is still one of the best in baseball without him. They had, 3-8, six 20+ HR hitters. Now with Manny out, they have 5 20+ HR hitters. If Paul, the rookie they called up to replace him, lives up to his potential (he is reported to be better than both Ethier and Kemp), they may not lose much without Manny. Is there any question that the Dodgers are the best team in the NL right now? Maybe even in all of MLB?
...right now....
