MLB 2009 Season

Isn't he collecting Social Security ???? :D

That guy TO ME, is even smarter than Maddux was. It just goes to show that IF you can still throw strikes AS A LEFTHANDED pitcher, there is a good chance you can pitch for a VERY long time! He is just amazing.....his FAST BALL has not been clocked above 85 mph in AT LEAST 8-10 years! A curve ball that is clocked in the upper 60s/lower 70s....

Pretty streaky team, huh?

WELL...it's still early, if they go into another funk....then I will agree with you. I just think that the losing streak brought out THEIR specific need early....NOW they, and everyone else knows the weakest part of this team.

...but don't tell the METS or the CUBS that....LOL!

The thing about the Marlins is their best two hitters (Han-Ram and Uggla) have got off to a relatively slow start.

Considering the Marlins are in first place, that's a real good sign, IMO.
Because you know those two are only gonna get better as the season progresses. :up

What has hampered Hanley is the beaning to the wrist...he has not been the same since that. The hot guy is 1st baseman Cantu.....he has 5 HR and 16 RBIs in the current 3 game winning streak.

I drafted Cantu for my fantasy team, but dropped him when he started the season hurt. :(

I also have Han-Ram, Uggla and Mike Jacobs on my team. So I had the 2008 Marlins infield (that all hit 30 HR's) to begin the season. :up

As you can see, the Marlins are my National League team. The team I root for outside the Red Sox is the Marlins. They caught my attention last year.

From what I have read in the Chicago papers, they are all over Cubs management for getting rid of DeRosa.

It just might be that the two biggest laughers this season may be the Cubs and the Mets.

Well....I honestly think the TWO biggest issues is the sudden lack of hitting from Derek Lee and the fact that Marmol has not established himself to be THE closer.
