I don't recall a specific tips thread. What kind of tips and tricks are you looking for?

Yes, navigational shortcuts, hidden features etc. - Like if you are flip on a movie you want to record, but it is 1/2 over, just hit the search button and any upcoming show times will be searched for.
The main thing that I see that is outdated on that page is that now to get to broadband setup from live TV you have to hit YELLOW - BLUE now as BLUE alone pulls up the Hopper apps menu.

Remember, many of the "tips" or shortcuts you may have used on previous Dish DVRs may still work on the Hopper. Moving forward in the guide by entering a number for hours and then right-arrow still works. Just noted, when you hit the search button, the currently selected show, whether it's live, being looked at in the DVR menu, etc, will be the default searched for (this worked on older receivers).
One thing that changed with Hopper in the guide, on 722 SKIP FWD/BACK goes forward/back 24 hours. On Hopper, SKIP FWD/BACK goes forward/back 3 hours. FF/REW now go forward/back 24 hours.
