Any predictions on what HD will launched tomorrow on Dish? Do you think DirecTV will launch anything tomorrow?

I think we might see more national hd uplinked tomorrow (maybe TWC and CNN) but nothing going "live" until 10/17 at the earliest.

Blah on both of those... We already have a news channel in HD and I dont understand the need for the Weather Channel in HD. Who in 2007 actually watches TWC for weather? Especially thru satellite where it is not local.

Come to think of it there's a good chance we might not see any new national hd uplinked or made available tomorrow. E* is famous for doing absolutely nothing when everyone is pleading for them to do something and then all of a sudden adding a couple of channels when everything is quiet.

Hope you are right on with your prediction but what I think will be going "live" tomorrow is............natta, zero aka nothing.

Possibly the NHL Network going live the following wednesday (10/17)

I agree. And I believe E* is targeting 10/17 for the launch of NHL HD.

Scott talked about the addition of new channels this week in the podcast. He was not specific but did say we could be up to 45 national HD channels. So we should at least see it uplinked this week.

According to dish we already have 48... so does that acutally mean we will be losing 3 tomorrow?

After their TBS snafu I bet we will see some new HD but we won't know what it is. Much like they did with the last wave of HD's....TESTA, TESTB, etc.
