....but it broke the picture shifting ability from teh preferences menu. You shift the menu page, but the picture is stuck (STRETCH mode chopping off the score crawls again...... shifting the picture upwards doesn't work anymore)

Where did you find the link for this? Also they fixed the bug they created in the previous release concerning FF and Rev.

I have the annoying DVR list "cannot get to multiple items selection" with L272. I record 2 minutes early on one program (Ebert&Roper) because they always start more than 1 minute early. I get 3 entries including a 0 minute after. Fortunately I get just what I want by playing but I use to be able to select any of these 3 and if they were longer this would really be annoying.

Worst case of syncing this Sunday Nov 6: NBC (Albuquerque KOB) West Wing had sound, picture, and close captions all out of sync on SD. After about 5 minutes they were suddenly in sync. Way to wake up.

My usual problem is with some CBS-HD only on the 921 having CC 6-8 seconds late. How do they do that just to one model, one station, some programs?

Ot... slightly but have you been getting audio and video dropouts on the Albuquerque locals from E*? I have only noticed on my 921, (do not watch SD on my 811 in the Pj room...

Many times when Dish gives us release notes the release notes do not list everything added or fixed in it.

In this case the only release notes said it fixed Daylight Savings Time, but they added the TV Guide logo, they fixed the FF and Rew issues and a few other things.

Release notes are something given to us to help pacify the techno geeks out there, but unfortunately as you will find out they do not tell you the entire story.

Cool! Albuquerque? I live here too.

So let's raise hell with Dish to put the code in the next update so I can Actually USE my PocketDish!

As for the dropouts, I am mostly getting audio dropouts. Very annoying.

I've not noticed any pattern in time or programming to dropouts from E* (non-OTA) and it is sometimes repeatable (oxymoron) on replay (921) but other times it clears up with a back 8 seconds. Huh?
I do not watch the 811 enough to comment there. I supply power to an SW64 and OTA on the 811 line so it is weaker.
OTA has its own problems with low signal levels on KASA-Fox (60 bad-70 good) and moderate on KOB-NBC (80s) while I get KNME-PBS (120+) and KOAT-ABC (~100) and KRQE-CBS (~110). All UHF and LOS cleanly between houses to Sandia Crest ~49 miles.
It's interesting to see other problems here on http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?threadid=43842&goto=newpost

 When did they add solitaire to the interactive games.

Noticed the weather interface is a little different and has more cities, but that could have been from the last update. I never look at the menu options since I don't get the LSOD's anymore.

Just noticed something...I info'ed a ColdCase from TNT recorded 10/11, in the start and end it states start:9:00 (dst) and End: 10:00 (dst) did not notice that before, is this new? (recognizing dst in an info on a dvr program)

Yea, this is certainly new. Before the time change (we were still on 270), the guide showed the Sun AM 1-2 hour twice. This allowed the guide to be "correct" after the time change (and timers based on this would be correct).

Crossing the time change boundary, the guide column headers were showing the times as 7:00(st). So apparently, we're seeing these tags if the DST status is different then current.

Can't really say for sure when this change occurred. Sometime between when DST started and L270.

Even so, there we still many reports of timer problems, though mine were fine.

:D.... just made a coaster trying to check that lol.... ( was archiving I Robot to dvd Recorder) in a Doh moment accessed menu...

I used to burn a lot of coaster doing stuff like this. Now, I do all transferring to DVD+RW, then convert to -R or +R on the PC. This also allows me to set the 16:9 flag is needed.

Is my 34 switch broken ?
