Just Scheduled 1 Hopper 3 Joey Install for Saturday 03/17/12!

Dish directly will not be able to but we can. We have the capability since we have our own installers. Dish has no idea what installers they have available and in what area.

That is pretty much what my 'local' installer said to me as well… that they will do my install on Saturday (already booked) but CAN NOT process my account till thursday morning.

On that question for the others here esp if you are a local installer like Scherrman - I already created a install date with Dish (not for h/j but for a 612 and 211 which I was planning on switching to a h/j on the 15th) as a new customer if I cancel that order with Dish will the local installer have any problems activating me?

I went to my retailers shop today, he has hoppers and joeys, but no duo node. He will call and set up an install when duo nodes come in. I'll get 2 hoppers and one joey, and he will have to change out my two 500 dishes to a 1000.2 but I don't think he will have los for 129, so we will see what he has to do to get it all up and working. Retailer gave me a manual to study.

To expect a retailer to turn away business by "Nope, can't talk about it, call me back Thursday" is beyond the pale. They can, and no doubt are, taking lists (however short or long) of customers to contact Thursday.

This makes me wish I had a local installer near where I live. I always have to go through Dish and send a tech from KC. Hopefully, the rumors of Dish waiting until April 1st are untrue and I can schedule an install next week.

You'll need to call Dish and cancel the work order that was previously created. If not, when your local retailer attempts to create a new account on Thursday, your info will turn up an existing work order and you'll be dead in the water.

Yep. Make sure you cancel that work order with dish soon. It will need to be cleared out so the retailer can qualify you.

Wednesdays are uplink days, but it would seem like they would pick it for the debut of the Hopper. Maybe they like the Ides of March better because of the history element.

I Called a retailer today same company in several locations it's called Cellular Connections they don't have the Hopper at all I'm in Rhode Island. They said I had to call Dish so I guess have to wait until tomorrow.

I went to a local retailer today to see if they had a demo unit up and running yet. they said no, they won't have any in until next week!! The salesperson didn't even seem to know what a Hopper/Joey was either. don't think i will return to that retailer. ;)

It's sad but not all retailers stay up do date on this stuff. For some it's not all their fault since Dish is not very good at keeping all retailers in the loop.

Being installed right now, have 3 regional managers here for observation. Hopper is up and running, next are Joey's!

Thanks for the updates, let us know once you get the system going let us know your impressions with the one hopper and joeys!
