Thanks for the congrats guys

I have had some problems lately with my point average. Ever since having to go to 1.19 on the GPU client my daily point average has went down. My 4 GPU clients ran better on 1.15. I then had a PSU problem so that made me have to shut down 1 GPU and 1 of my 3 SMP clients. I just installed a new PSU so now I'm back up and running all my clients.

Current farm:

5 computers

3 - Vista
2 - XP

4 GPU clients with the following video cards.

2 Evga 8800GS cards
1 Evga 8800GT Akimbo
1 Evga 9800GT

3 SMP Clients

1 - 5.91 Client
2 - 6.23 Clients

Same old stuff, but getting the primo WUs? Lucky dawg... I'm seeing some less-than-productive WUs on my Macs which have thrown off my averages in the last month. It's bad when my single-threaded 2.3 GHz Athlon box with the ATI HD3750 card is cracking out more PPD than my 2.66 GHz Quad-core Mac Pro with the SMP client. *sigh*

I'm not seeing that. We have slowed down, but we're still closing at a rate of over 10 Kppd.

AVS Forum used to be on our radar, but now they're 3.6 months out.

At the time of my previous post AVS was producing 10k more per day than us. That was due to Sazaneyes ppd went up 10k per day. As of today Sazaneyes production was like 2k today. I would say he has a problem or he got his electric bill and flipped out .

And passing me! Thanks. I was going to toot my own horn, but it is so much better when someone else does it.

It's funny, but I check my folders daily and look at our team stats on the EOC site several times a day. It is a nice diversion that does some good for other people and I enjoy being a part of it.

I'm down to a GPU and 2 SMP clients for a while, my production will be down until I have time to get some more SMP's going at work.

Well I just added a Dual Quad Core from work (yes that is 2 Quad Cores in one machine ) to my farm so hopefully I can cover some of SatinKzo loss of points. It will be active during non working hours so should help the team a little bit..

Just today got project 5902 (r8, c86, G0) on my first Nvidia 9800GTX+
Got project 5902 (r13, c95, G0) on my Second Nvidia 9800GTX+

These seem to be for more points and take longer (FahMon Reports 5000 each) It also reports about 8 hours each, are these normal units or has there been a change at Stanford? I am asking as I have not seen this long of a unit before for the GPU clients. Usually there are in the 384, 512 range in about 2 hour range...

Maybe a heads up for everyone with Nvidia cards...

I'm still waiting for the ATI cards to live up to their potential, but maybe NVidia has gotten their act together after the flaky drivers from the Win2K days. My Mac Pro has a Nvidia 7300 so it's not like I'm opposed to them, but I had really bad experiences with NVidia under Windows.

Well I guess they are being spotty as I had 2 overnight that were the 353 type plus had the first lockup overnight in over a month... Now this morning they are back to the bigger units. I'm not a big fan of Nvidia either as I had 2 ATI 3850's for folding to start with and was just not getting the points. I used to play SecondLife and the latest versions would not run on any ATI card I through at it but would run on any of the Nvidia cards I through at it.

Well another Interesting factoid on these 5902 projects is that the project reports 1680 pts. total. That would seem to mean 1680 pts every 8 hours on each GPU card but Fahmon is only reporting roughly 5000 PPD.. per GPU.. So it will be interesting to see what actually unfolds so to speak.
