I hear that rockymnthigh has some new hardware he could put to use...

I'm still waiting for some price slides on the previous generation of nVidia cards. If I can get another OC'd GTX9800+ for under $100, I'll replace the ATI card I have in my HP 8300 and boost its points.

At our current production rate we will comfortably be in the Top 100 by the end of the year. Scott will need to update the Home Page when that happens! Also, 71,000,000 points by the afternoon!!!

although windows is working fine; wanted to try out Ubuntu... sadly might take me a couple of days to figure out how to get F@h working in linux... but i shall return to the, uh, fold soon enough. (i know lousy play on words)

Whoa, looks like Estonia lost their warp drive or something. Their production dropped by 80K overnight. Estonia's top producer, jaak_ennuste, is offline. This is good news for SatGuys, especially if he stays offline. We are less than two weeks away from passing Team PSM for #100.

Wonder if they are plagued with the same thing I am... had both clients going in windows 7 nearly all day yesterday (until last night when I installed ubuntu) and it only looks like 2 wu's posted. Been running since 2:30am this morning, and again, only a couple units posted. No clue what is going on!

I was gone 4 days this week and 2 of the 3 Win7 machines stopped folding while I was away. I wonder if it is a win7 thing...

I have been running my two folders on Windows 7 since August without any problems.

for the record, running win 7 home (64) and I don't remember if it's the (32) or (64) CPU FAH client plus the NVidia GPU client.

Guess I'll dual boot back to Vista Home 64 for folding on Saturday while I'm at work...

BTW, does anyone fold with linux? I know there is a fah tarball at Sanford's site, just haven't really had the time at home to get down and dirty with it... further, can you fold via GPU out of Ubuntu (via WINE)?

I do not have actual experience using WINE, but the Folding Forum is a great resource. From what I read, it looks like it is not for the faint of heart.

I have two Macs that I have Folding. That's as close to Linux as I get.

My ATI 4850 GPU2 client got another VPU Reset. I lost about 20 hours of Folding on that card. I hit it with a burst of Air-in-a-Can, so hopefully it will be good for another year.

Well, I have gotten the CPU folding working in linux now. will have to experiment with GPU folding tonight. (hopefully I'll get a few more than 200 points today )

as for me, I fear I'm going to step away from it for a while. I'm cool with aiding in research; but I'm not going to make pointless computations if they won't actually get to where they need to go... electric is a little too expensive for that.

pretty much so. it'll download, process, act like it uploaded properly, download the next wu... however, nothing shows up. completely perplexed as to how that happens!

CPU: FahCore 78; Client 6.23
Looking through the log file, looks like at least one WU was sent as of 16:22:40
(will have to see if that shows in the next update)

GPU: FahCore 11; Client 6.23

I can only think to double check your configuration. Make sure your team id (55236) and user name are correct.

tried leaving it run overnight again... looks like it might be working again... will have to keep an eye on it. Otherwise, I'll just boot into vista when I'm heading off to work... (Vista always seemed to get the job done, that sounds SO wrong!)

I'm wondering if some of Estonia's top producers are hit with the same problem I am. We both fell off around the 4th...

Looks like they are sinking fast in the production. Now says over a month before they catch up... We might be able to move 2 places by then.

Looks like your are back online. Almost 7500 points yesterday.

Estonia has fallen off the board for now. 200K behind us and eating our dust. Their top producer is still MIA. Hopefully, he won't be found until after SatGuys cracks the Top 100.
