I just renewed online.

I'm tired of the annual dance myself. However SXM has been "nice to have" during the pandemic. I find myself streaming programming most of the day. What really irked me was what they did with the MLB channels this year. I've been a Select subscriber for many years. My wife likes to listen to baseball on the radio. MLB had been part of Select the whole time. This year, two weeks before opening day SXM alerted subscribers that MLB has been moved to the more expensive All Access subscription. My subscription ends in September. I may not renew because of that experience.
I wish they would do like the XM people did and put ALL the MLB games in One Section in sequential order ... right now they are scattered all over the place ... many I can't get in my car/truck because they make them STREAMING only, so now I have to mess with the phone while driving.
The ONLY time I will do this type of thing is if I happen to be going some distance.

Well just by coincidence after not renewing in February, I just got the $4.99 per month offer Today,
coincidentally also after their free trial finished. Currently deciding whether or not to take them up on their offer.

I wonder why you got $4.99 and I got $5.99? Is that for 6 months or the full year?

This is for 1 year (12 months) and it's actually for $5.00 per month, (Not $4.99) kind of weird they billed me for 3 months and then say that I will renew for another 9 months also @ $5.00

As for you being offered $5.99 I don't know, they're marketing is strange, I've heard of people being offered only $99per yr, that's what they offered me at first when I cancelled 4 months ago.

I just went through the cancel chat and got the $4.99 (with fees it ends up being $6.06) per month deal for Music and Entertainment.

The first offer was Platinum for $8.99 (+ fees).

Same here. Nearly 20 year subscriber, early adopter of Sirius. Was able to get the deal on multiple radios and align all the end dates so I only have to do the now annual “I’m cancelling” chat once.

My SiriusXM Music & Entertainment plan renewed on August 1 for $280.43. Today August 2 I called SiriusXM to try to get a cheaper rate. The automated system recognized my phone number and looked up my account. I selected billing. The automated system offered me a promotional account for $72 + $15.41 Royalty Fee + taxes for my existing plan for one year. They are going to refund my credit card the difference. I am very pleased. I received the promotional rate without even talking to an agent. I am getting a refund of $186.13 and the whole process took less than 3 minutes. That is good customer support.

I've been trying to get my 2 radios lined up so they are due at the same time for Years ... never works.
Its really not hard for them to do that seeing I pay them once a year, but they still will send 2 separate bills next year.

Hmmm, I'm gonna have to remember that come Jan.

I have the Music & Entertainment plan that just went up a dollar to $7.27. I have been calling in each year in hopes to just continue with same plan and cost. They love to offer new plans and or radios. This last time she was so easy and very fast. I just can't afford more and don't drive much.

SXM csr's are like phone sex operators you best know what you want and you best have your CC out because they will take your $$$

I just call in and tell them that I can't afford to continue and they usually come back with a great offer. My last upgrade required an eight minute phone call. The previous upgrade took longer because I claimed Line of Sight issues.
i pulled that one to and got like 4 months free at different times. when my free month was over i called in and threatened to cancel and they came back with good deals.

Like it or not, she has some great insights.
I remember her from MTV back when MTV was all about music (1980's). I wasn't impressed by her back then either but I was impressed when she did the "Dancing to the Oldies" on satellite (decades ago). Now Martha Quin on the other hand......;)
