I think live sports is a big draw.

Live Sports are not a big draw, that is a myth, just like RSNs receive great ratings.

The extremely vast majority of our population do not watch or listen to Live Sports, for example, RSN get about 1-3% of the audience in their areas during the MLB season, worse during NHL/NBA games.

ESPN is lucky to crack 1% during MLB, NBA, NHL regular season games, the NHL games get hundreds of thousands of, not even a million watching, during their games on ESPN.

Then they approach it wrong. I don't know about Apple, but Spotify isn't the live-streaming platform that SXM is. SXM could benefit more by cutting low-performing stations. Like, sports. I'm not sure many people use SXM for live sports

With 10 million subscribers, there's plenty of diversity in what people are listening to. I drove from PHX to LV last night and listened to the Seattle / Green Bay game in its entirety.

It's better to listen to the games on SXM vs the over the air radio feeds. For the most part they sound better on SXM.
