He still does great long form interviews. He WAS funny long ago..a rebel flaunting fcc rules..but he turned into a bitter old complaner on sirius
I can raise my hand on that!It seems everyone turns bitter and complains as they age.
He must really draw still. His show has morphed a lot since I started listing in 89. It's nothing now like it used to be.They really wanted him to renew if they gave him such a huge perk to take the summer off while working 3 days a week from home making 100 million a year.
You have to listen to his interviews - which is all they're playing on this break. He has conquered the long-form interview worldWow. I fail to see the attraction. What do you guys see in him?

Don't forget part of his schick was fighting the FCC. Now that he doesn't do that anymore he shifted his focus. He must really draw still. His show has morphed a lot since I started listing in 89. It's nothing now like it used to be.
I think marrying Beth changed him. He’s more dignified now. No more fart jokes or picking on handicapped people and no more guests riding the Sibian.
His interviews are great but unless there is someone on I want to hear him interview I no longer listen as his show hurried into political rants. And I want to tune in someplace and get away from those rants.

His interviews are what I listen for. No one else has 1-2 hours uninterrupted with the subjects and no one else gets them to talk about things like he does. And, no one else prepares like he does. Stern will often bring up something that happened in the subject's life that they're shocked he knows about during the course of those interviews....He still does great long form interviews.

Plus he got rid of the naked girls in the studio, which somehow turned into naked guys for a while and now that's gone too which gives him more credibility with an audience that was turned away by the gratuitous sex-based programming he once relied on.Don't forget part of his schick was fighting the FCC. Now that he doesn't do that anymore he shifted his focus.
Sadly, that's the whole country now. Everything is a political rant, it seemsas his show hurried into political rants
