HOPPER SNAP

That is an excellent question. If the video is all generated on the Hopper and merely presented on the Joey, then that might explain how the Snap can accelerate both. But I believe I convinced myself that the Netflix app runs on the Joey separately from the Hopper. (At least it requires a separate login to your Netflix account.) So, perhaps the menus within an app are generated on the Joey, while the regular menus are generated by the Hopper.
I'm not questioning the video aspect, rather the guide on the Joey. It seems to me that the Joey has its own guide software on it because it doesn't allow for custom guides from the Hopper to be used on them. You have to make your own custom guide on each Joey which is kind of a pain because if you want to keep your custom guides in sync, it's a manual effort.
Anyway, paging through the guide on my Joey's showed no improvement after Snap installation.

All these updates have me sooo jelly as the kids say.

Can’t wait for the snaps to become widely available.

If there is a beta test group two - count me in...

It seems that while the Snap module functions very well for those with a single H1 or HWS, if they're going to have a beta 2 group , as Scott mentioned they would probably need beta testers that have other configurations like duel Hoppers, super Joeys, 4k Joeys, etc.

I thought one of this beta group has two HWSes.

So glad I upgrade from two H2's to two H3's some time ago. The SLOW performance was the truly big reason I switched (insufficient tuners was the solid 2nd reason), and thanks to Dish for making it possibe, otherwise . . .

The H2 performance has not been an issue for me, nor has the tuner count. If there was a charge for the Snap, I likely wouldn't bother with it. Are the snappier menus nice? Sure... Do I miss them when I switch to the H2 without the Snap? Not really...

If the Snap improve my Hopper 1 as much as it has, I definately believe that the Hopper 2 with Snap probably works nearly as fast as the Hopper 3.

Will the new software version 716 for HWS fix the problem of using the snap with two HWS on one account.

I forced a U716 upgrade this afternoon that included an update for the Snap. So far I haven't seen any noticeable differences, and of course I can't test the two Snap issue with only a single Snap on hand.

Another Update: After hearing about the U716 for the HWS, I downloaded it to see what else came along with it. The Joey2 was updated to U753 and the Snap module got its first update to S151. While I don't know what the Snap update was supposed to do, the Joey2 performance is now on a par with the HWS, paging through the menus has become really fast (a Snap), and the Joey2 startup time is also vastly improved. Even my wireless Joey has shown the same performance improvement.

This was just communicated to us techs:
