Help with 622 receiver issue

I have a 622 and it started turning off yesterday then it reboots. Today it has done it about 4 times and now it can't seem to boot and get a signal.

Called Dish and got a ration of chit from their people and was told I had to pay to replace the receiver or buy a friggin service plan! I told them to PO. Finally got someone who agreed to send a receive after I told them to just turn the stupid service off. I had the dish everything pack.

Question is ... is this receiver dead?

I an damn sick of losing all of my recordings and had enough of Dish and the incompetent service reps.

What are my options, if any?

If the receiver isn't staying booted up long enough to do anything you are SOL. That would indicate a power issue in the receiver. If you can get it to stay on, you may be able to troubleshoot or get recordings onto an EHD before replacing
