Is this dish as heavy duty as the Winegards? I have seen the hotdish and find it much too flimsy for my liking...

I doubt they're as sturdy as the Winegards, you may want to check out the Fortec dishes from Sadoun.
If all goes well (ie: if I can get the cash together) I'll have a review of the 120cm Fortec Star dish soon.

Edit: I can't find it right now, we had a discussion about this dish a few months ago, it's also sold under the name "Azure Shine".
IMO, you get what you pay for.
