Fox is pulling its Monday 8 p.m. hour block of comedies "Arrested Development" and "Kitchen Confidential" for the rest of the November sweeps and is replacing them with repeats of the drama "Prison Break."
The Emmy-winning "Arrested" is a critics' darling but has underperformed in the ratings during its first two seasons, when it aired on Sunday nights. The move to Monday at 8 p.m. (ET) did little to boost its numbers.
The debuting "Kitchen" also received some favorable reviews but has so far failed to attract a significant audience at 8:30 p.m. Mondays. On Nov. 7 back-to-back episodes of "Arrested" scored a 2.0 rating in adults 18 to 49, according to Nielsen Media Research, tying for fourth place in the 8 p.m. hour with The WB's "7th Heaven."
Neither "Arrested" nor "Kitchen" is expected to receive a back-nine episode order.
