EHD Confusion?

During last nights tech forum Mark Said he just hooked up a 2TB HD to his system and it works great......an email or two later someone asked about adding an EHD to his 211k....one of the experts in the peanut gallery said the drive had a Min of 50GB and a Max of 1TB Huh???..... So which is the Max is it 1Tb or 2TB?....I have a 722....If a 2Tb works what brand works the best...

i don't think he said he had the 2tb hooked up, he just said he bought one, or maybe he is able to test it. They said the limit should be lifted in March. I think he might have confused some people in another way since they said to go for the smallest hard drive, some people might pick up a portable and find out they can't use it with the dvr.

2 TB works technically...but you only get the use of 1TB of space.

The fellow in the peanut gallery did reiterate what Mark and Dan said, that 2TB would be supported, but for the moment--officially-1TB.
