DISH software problems

So far DISH has not done a very good job on their software updates. I can't record any of my local programs on my 921 DVR because Monday nights programs record on Sunday night, Tuesday night programs record on Monday night, etc. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Welcome to SatelliteGuys! I don't have a 921 any longer, so I can't really help you. How long have you had your 921 and when did it start doing this? Sounds like the clock is off, but there is now way to change it yourself. Try doing a check switch and a reboot, maybe that will help. Good luck

This is a known problem (along with many others) of the 921.

Unfortunately, it has yet be reliably reproduced, so there is no effective work-around that I'm aware of. Many have had it, others have not. Good mojo is more important than a good warranty with this unit.

I've had my 921 for a little over a year, but the problem has been about a month now. DISH told me that they are having a software problem, and as soon as they have corrected the problem, I'm switching over to DirecTV.

Hopefully next software will help you... my 921 is stilll stable... as for D*HD.... I have it, right now comparable to the V* pack... And Welcome to SatelliteGuys fellow New Mexican

I only have the problem when the box hasn't rebooted for several days.

Use Menu-7 to see if there's already-fired timers at the top of the list - that seems to be a prime symptom that you're liable to get the 'day early' problem.
