Here is my situation, any advice or opinions would be welcome. I have been a Dish subsciber for 8 years. Last December my work situation changed and I moved fom Mass to Tennesee and used Dish Mover. I was supposed to be there for a year then I would transfer to Charleston SC. We had a house built and the intention was to transfer Dish to the new house with Dish Mover again this fall. My transfer is delayed another year, wife and family in new house and I am still in Tennesee.

1. Can I have Dish installed at the new house and still keep the service in TN on one account or would this be skirting the rules?

2. What would happen if we set up service in my wifes name at the new house, got free equipment then cancelled my TN account and bring a box back with me?

Can't afford 2 seperate accounts, what would you guys do?

Thanks,
John

1. Having two locations on one Dish account is termed "account stacking" and is illegal with Dish.

2. You would be paying for both accounts the the time the TN location is being used. If you own the receiver in TN, you can add it to SC when the TN account is closed. If you lease the TN receiver, it need to be returned to Dish when the account is cancelled.

Depending you your receiver, you can use one of the lower cost accounts in TN if it is just you. And maybe a lesser package in SC as well until everyone is together.

Or you may want to look into a Slingbox solution if you're going to have broadband at both ends.

I kind of like Islandguy's repsonse.:D

The slingbox is one solution I did not think of. How would the quality be if it was connected to a 37" LCD in TN? Does the slingbox HD provide"true" HD.

It would be kinda neat to turn the channels on the box in SC when the wife is watching. Living all alone she will think the house is huanted:eek:

Thanks everyone.
