I just chatted and ordered two at no charge. Since I got Hopper 3 and 4K Joey when they first came out, a supervisor was able to arrange it.

BTW, no joy in trying to ask for a 50.0 to replace the 52.0 my Hopper 3 shipped with. I guess all my brownie points expired...

I wonder if the new 50.0 voice remote will except color button commands! If you say "Red Button" will the Hopper go to the TV Activity screen?

Did everyone note the requirement of an Internet connection to make the Voice commands work? Dial-up out in the countryside may not cut it.

I got my $15 credit for missing the Tribune channel in my area and I ordered the new 50.0 remote today, so, in effect, I got it for $15. I can't wait to receive it.

My first post ever. I called about the remote and was quoted the $30 price, but when I said that I was an early Hopper 3 adopter, the representative said I could have it for free. It is worth a shot.

If you say "TV activity" it goes to that screen. You say "closed caption" it turns it on. If you say "settings" it goes right to settings. Say "apps" it goes to that screen. Pretty much covers the color buttons.

I was promised a free 50 remote by two different people. I printed the chat logs so I would have a record of it. I got on a chat tonight and was first told I would not get on for free. I told about the two chats and that it was noted on my account. He finally said I would have one in a couple days at no charge. Looking forward to it.

I just got my free remote on order. I chatted and told them they are advertising that the Hopper 3 comes with the new remote. I sent the link below and told them the comments are 5 months old. I also told them that I was promised a remote when they were available. I didn't save my chat from that.
