DIRECTV unlikely to keep NFL Sunday Ticket

Look up the ratings from any Sunday for the “free” afternoon games. And then explain how they make money selling extra games on a cash basis.

Go ahead and do the same for Fox, CBS, NBC for the rights to the NFL games they acquired. Do you think theyre subscription revenue will cover the approximate $2 billion each are spending?

It would be interesting to see the numbers when it comes to the most subscribers they've had compared to what they have now for Sunday Ticket. I know they've lost Directv Subscribers but I wonder what the most number of subs they had for Sunday Ticket. I still believe Directv will be allowed to offer this next year as well as the streaming service. Just my opinion.
There is no advantage for Apple/Amazon/Google to throw DirecTV a bone to let them keep carrying NFLST, at the most maybe business customers, but Amazon already has Amazon Business to handle them, Apple, who knows, but some of these news stories says Apple might want to do it themselves to build on new relationships with Commercial Establishments.

You can stream and keep directv..but we estimate about 250k sunday ticket subs cant stream
That is only $75 million, peanuts to Apple who has over $200 Billion in cash alone, Amazon/Google both over $100 Billion.

Also, by the time ST is on one of the above, there should be more options for some with Broadband.

There is also Star Link, yes I know it is $100 a month, but I have read a lot of rural folks are paying $75-up for really bad DSL because they have no choice or they have Hughes, which is more expensive, a lot slower then Star Link and has extreme Data Caps.

Also, having Star Link will give you options for different TV services that are less expensive, so can save money that way.

The NFL does not get any extra or less if 250,000 cannot get ST, if the deal is for $2.5 Billion, then the NFL gets $2.5 Billion.

And yes, the NFL will take as much as possible and will do all they can to engineer a better deal, that is why I think this new story about Google is a bunch of bull.

This is the Corporate world that I am so glad not to be part of anymore.

Gasp, wrong again. Preseason games were available via the Game Pass product they offered before NFL+.

NFL+ is even cheaper than Game Pass for those who want this service for that specific purpose.
I always watched them on nfl network

Wrong again.

Literally have used it for the last two years, complimentary as part of my season tickets. Waiting to see if NFL+ will be offered to us as well.

It's really sad how you have to make things up to make your points instead of just participate in the discussion.

Here's another email, from 2020, an ad for Game Pass... the fine print.

Amazon Business can deal with Commercial TV? Where each site is it's own thing? And deal with billing by FCO?
Apple may have an hard time getting Commercial Establishments to buy high cost TV boxes + switcher upgrades and if they want to ENFORCE HDCP that may turn off even more sites.

Amazon may be able to cut them an deal on an bigger switcher and tv sticks.

Now both will have issues with places that don't have good internet and are they ready to deal with ENFORCE that places just don't get an home account or maybe even try to use canadian satellite tv?

You are

Its complimentary

You said nobody was paying for it (right after you said it wasn't available to me at all...). I have prior to it becoming a benefit of my season ticket package, and know of dozens of people who paid for it just last year alone (as they were part of the effort to get coaches film re-added).

So yeah, there you go again...

Why do you keep just making things up?
