Looking good!
Maybe they finally got their crap together!
After last night, I remember why I DIDN'T miss Fernando Rodney. Verlander can't buy a win, no matter how good he throws. Tonight another hard luck story with Rogers. Guy is pitching his old fart of a body off, lately with nothing to show for it in his win column.
10 out of 12! This team is finally showing signs of life.
Sheff says he's 100%. I sure hope so, he can carry a team when he's hot. Impressive tater last night.
That '68 team really was special. The original comeback kids. I can't remember how many times they came back to win the last 3 innings, not to mention their historic comeback in the WS. Yes, St. Louis fans, Brock was out! Al Kaline was my hero back then. (I was all of 10 yrs. old when they won the WS that year.)
Then I guess that, back when you were 9 years old, you were to young to realize that the Red Sox were the comeback kids in 1967.
I remember listening to the second game of a doubleheader against the Angels when the Red Sox fell behind 8-0 early, got a solo homer from Reggie Smith, then a three run homer from Yaz, and then tied the game with a four run rally, and then some nobody they had picked up (whose name I could have told you as recently as a decade ago, and it may come to me later today) won it for them in eighth or ninth. Prompting their manager, Bill Rigney to say, "Yesterday they broke my win streak. Today, they broke my heart."

Just for fun, I looked it up. It was Jerry Adair, and his HR was in the eighth inning.
Tigers win again tonight.
Granderson goes 4-5 with 2 triples.
A month ago he was hitting about 2.40, now he's up to .294 on a 15 game hitting streak.
Tigers are now only 1 game under .500 after being about 10 under earlier.
Chicago's only 5 games up and has Minnesota breathing down thier neck only 1 GB.
Are the White Sox's feeling the pressure of the Twins (also on a very good win streak - 9 -1) and Tigers ?
Jimbo
Wow, what's gotten into the AL Central!?
Everyone in the AL Central wins again! How's my Tribe supposed to gain any ground!? BTW, after this weekends interleague series against the Reds, the Indians go on the road to battle the White Sox and then the Twins. If this team wants to gain ground, that'd be the time.....
Sox win 2 in a row. 6-4 in last 10. (1st Place)
Twins win 10th in a row! 10-0 in last 10. (1/2 GB)
Detroit win 5 in a row. 7-3 in last 10. (5 GB)
Indians win 2 in a row. 4-6 in last 10. (7.5 GB)
Royals win their 6th in a row! 9-2 in last 10 (7.5 GB)
