deal for existing customers?

I'm an existing customer paying $200/month for directv service. I am wanting to get a hd tivo. What kind of deal will retention be able to give me on a hd tivo or should i call customer service?

they just called me and told me i had to have a check or credit card with $750 on it for prepayment before they could bill my account? What kind of BS is that? Why do they need prepayment?

It makes it easier to get answers if you keep them all in the same thread. "They called" are you 100% sure it was REALLY DirecTV that called you and not some scammer trying to get your personal & credit info? Sounds fishy.
