Looks like It’s official Directv Buying Dish

If you subtract the AFR and RSF fees, the RSF fee is $10 in our area. It ends up being $98 for the Choice plan if you click on the see details. On the main page it's $89. On the main page they show only a $10 RSF.

They make it as confusing as possible but it ends up the same price for both satellite and Internet.
 
Sorry, I thought I was doing a different type of post about figuring out the regular price of DTV via Net.
Unless programming is removed from DIRECTV STREAM to disadvantage it with respect to DvI, I doubt anyone should be considering DIRECTV via Internet. DIRECTV didn't make DvI their most promoted package (while making DIRECTV STREAM relatively hard to find) because it was going to give customers the lowest bottom line.

The DTV CEO said the merger would allow them to offer cheaper packages and I think he said that customers don't want to subscribe to hundreds of channels that they don't watch.
and just how possible is that with dtv taking on all of dishes debt plus there own:shh that math isn't mathin!!! i have always said be prepaired for the rate hikes and more people leaving in droves becasuse of the price!!! i heard new skinny packages will be out the first of the year. all speculation right now. i won't belive it until i see it. and then again here we go with the price hikes!!!

Neither organization is hemorrhaging money but DIRECTV seems to be hemorrhaging customers so DISH is perhaps the best way to stem that outgoing tide.

This may be the biggest load of vaporware since the Apple television (or the Apple car or the Apple glasses or...).
so don't count on it then!!! if it does happen it would be interesting to see how they market it bundles and so on

Dish has built-in marketing. Every tech is offering Boost sign-ups nationwide and selling the hell out of them in many cases.
Shopped and switched today. Boost advertises $25, but it's deceptive- you have to buy 4 lines, so really $100! Very Charlie.

Was on Twigby at $20, with tax etc. >$25, but they do nothing outside US, and I want Canada and probably overseas for next year. I landed on Mint at $15 with unlimited talk/text and 5g of data. Use throughout NA; if you go into Canada you load up data just to use there for no charge...in'tl free text and shows very low roaming rates. I looked at how much data I've used with Twigby and it's usually under 1g on their 4g allowance, so I should be fine with Mint's 5g. I don't do video or data-intensive apps on mobile. E-sim activation, have SE 2nd gen

Unfortunately, Mint won’t work for us at our Summer vacation home, not even 4G coverage. Too bad Boost isn’t $25/line unless you have four lines. I’ll stick with Cricket for now.

Exactly, makes no mention of it. But when you go to pick the deal with 1 line, it's like 40. The $25 is per-line for a "family plan" with 4 phones. I should turn ol' chucky in for deceptive advertising...but anyways the Mint deal's cheaper even than Boost's lying price, just $15, plus full NA coverage, plus 5 gig of data which should easily cover. I have no idea about speed but don't need 5G. I will obviously have to use it & see about signals reliability...

The carriers have always discounted for add'l lines, but there are several low-costers in market now in the $20 range for 1 phone.

That $15 per month price with Mint is just for 3 months. It goes up to $25 per month after that.

I use the AT&T prepaid plan for $25 per month. It says Unlimited data but it is then say “After 16GB, speeds slowed to max 1.5Mbps for the month.” so basically it is 16 GB per month with a monthly rollover of 16 GB allowed. I don’t use much data so I usually have about 32 GB available every month. And of course it is prepaid so you pay $300 up front for 12 months.. works for my needs.

My wife tried Mint for a short time but we live in a rural area in Illinois and she had issues with dead spots in our area so we both use the AT&T prepaid plan.
