Orignal 25 HD channels for $54.99?
I have been talking to the Dish customer support about their press release in
January. In it, they specifically state the following:
The Dish network national press release reads as follows:
"For as little as $54.99 a month, customers can access the entire 25-channel DishHD lineup"
Discovery HD ESPN HD Animania HD Monsters HD
HBO HD Equator HD Rave HD HD Net
Film Fest HD Rush HD HD Net Movies Gallery HD
Ultra HD HD Pay-Per-View HD News Kung Fu HD
Showtime HD TNT HD ESPN2 HD Universal HD
Family Room HD Gameplay HD Treasure HD World Cinema HD
WorldSport HD
The price ($54.99) is equivalent to their current bronze package which
gives you 23 HD channels. Their platinum package is the only one which
gives you the 25 HD channels. The difference is the 2 movie channels, HBO
and Showtime.
I cut my starz package and signed up for the silver package to get the
full 25 channels as stated in the press release, but no HBO or Showtime.
Customer service has been telling me different things, the latest being that
this press release
(http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=68854&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=801106&highlight=
is not on the official Dish network site. It site looks like the Echostar corporate part of the Dish website to me. Now they've talked themselves
into a corner since they are now telling me the press release is not from DISH. and is incorrect. Anyone else run into this issue?
I believe that they should honor what they advertised..... Please flood these
guys with some email so that they will get the message and perhaps give us what Echostar originally offered.
