AL EAST 2009

How prophetic you were.

IMO, when Smoltz and/or Dice-K come off the DL, Penny is outta here.

As far as Lopez goes, I don't know why he made the team out of preseason to begin with. It's not like he's a Tony Fossas (lefty specialtist), he's about the same against righties and lefties.

The Sox have 6 one inning (two tops) guys in the bullpen already, I think Lopez' spot should go to a long reliever/mop-up guy.

That Underwood sure can scream, can't he? And I see "Archie" has his patented John Wayne imitation in mid-season form already...PILGRIM!!!

Underwood and Manning are a great duo.

It sometimes comes off like Manning can't stand Underwood, but for some reason this awkward relationship works. Kind of a love/hate relationship.

Underwood has a patented PBP sports voice...not baseball...not football...it is pleasant but generic. I enjoyed Manning and the older gentleman (John?) who got canned when STO took over.

John Sanders? Yeah, he was classic too.

For a little bit when they were on FSN, they tinkered with a 3 man booth of Sanders, Manning and Mike Hegan.

During his weekly appearance on WEEI's "The Dale and Holley Show," manager Terry Francona said that first baseman Kevin Youkilis and right fielder J.D. Drew were questionable to play tonight. If Youkilis doesn't start, Jeff Bailey would take over at first base, while Jonathan Van Every would get the nod in right field in place of Drew.

Youkilis, who was hit in the back with a pitch by Cleveland starter Anthony Reyes last night, is experiencing some soreness, according to Francona. Youkilis remained in the game after getting hit, delivering a two-run double in the second inning.

Drew is again feeling tightness in his left quadriceps, according to Francona. Drew did not start Monday because of the soreness -- he eventually pinch hit in the ninth inning -- and returned to the starting lineup last night.

Yankees to "Adjust" Ticket Prices

Amid the worst economic crisis in decades and with swaths of empty seats visible in the first six regular season games at the new Yankee Stadium, the Yankees will lower the ticket prices -- by half in some cases -- for some of their most expensive seats this season.

"There are a few hundred suite seats in our premium locations that have not been sold on a full season basis," Hal Steinbrenner, Yankees managing general partner said in a statement Tuesday. "As a result, and for many of our fans who have already purchased full season suite seats in such premium locations, the Yankees are announcing today a program that adjusts certain prices and benefits affecting such suite seats."

What, are we back at City of Palms Park??:D

Indians 2, Red Sox 0..............bottom of the 1st.

It could've been worse had Sizemore not get picked off first base.

Red Sox beat the Indians, 6-5 on a 10th inning homerun by former Indians draft pick Jonathan Van Every.

It was JVE's first major league HR.

My Two Cents on Alex Ovechkin

OK....the kool-aid has worn off....BENCH JaMarcus Russell!!
