AL EAST 2009

You talking about that one where he slid on the rubberized track near foul territory? I bet his arms and hands are still burning from that road rash. Good catch though.
Yep, I'm sure he's feeling it this morning....

Derek Jeter has so many friends and family who want to see him and his teammates play, the Yankee captain leased a luxury suite for the season in the new stadium. A team spokesman said the box was big enough for 12, but wouldn't say how much it cost. But he said that Jeter, one of the highest-paid players in the Major Leagues, paid full price for a suite of its size, which range in cost from $600,000-$850,000 -- and he didn't even get an employee discount. -- NY Post

Time to welcome an old friend back to Red Sox Nation:

NESN announced today that Dave Roberts, the former Red Sox outfielder and postseason hero, has joined the network to serve as a studio analyst. Roberts will join Hall of Famers Dennis Eckersley and Jim Rice on NESN's pre- and post-game shows.

“We are thrilled to have Dave join our team of outstanding studio analysts,” said Joel Feld, NESN’s executive vice president of programming and executive producer. “Dave is an icon in Red Sox Nation. He has a deep knowledge of the game and understands the passion of Red Sox fans.”

Roberts will make his NESN debut this Monday from the new Yankee Stadium when the Red Sox play the Yankees. During the game, he will also join NESN’s Red Sox broadcast team of Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy in the booth for a couple of innings.

Btw, Bill, where is the Rem-Dawg tonight. Doesnt sound like him on the air? Does he have the swine flu?

We dont need to have the NESN guys bring up the fact that the Mets havent had a no hitter. Believe me, we know.
Also, doesnt Don Orsillo sound exactly like Sean McDonough?

Remy has missed a few games already this season, I'm not exactly sure if he is ailing or not. That is Buck Martinez with Orsillo.

And yes, Orsillo does sound like McDonough. :up

I figured it was Buck Martinez. He has a distinct voice but I wasnt sure it was him. The Yankees look like there going to win and the Rays pound the Sox. So, how was your night Bill? :D
