And, he made a nice diving catch down the right field line....Van Every couldn't have scripted a better scenario for his first professional HR. Hats off to Jon-Jon.

Yep, I'm sure he's feeling it this morning....You talking about that one where he slid on the rubberized track near foul territory? I bet his arms and hands are still burning from that road rash. Good catch though.
NESN announced today that Dave Roberts, the former Red Sox outfielder and postseason hero, has joined the network to serve as a studio analyst. Roberts will join Hall of Famers Dennis Eckersley and Jim Rice on NESN's pre- and post-game shows.
“We are thrilled to have Dave join our team of outstanding studio analysts,” said Joel Feld, NESN’s executive vice president of programming and executive producer. “Dave is an icon in Red Sox Nation. He has a deep knowledge of the game and understands the passion of Red Sox fans.”
Roberts will make his NESN debut this Monday from the new Yankee Stadium when the Red Sox play the Yankees. During the game, he will also join NESN’s Red Sox broadcast team of Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy in the booth for a couple of innings.

Figgins gets a lead off TRIPLE and he scores with the next batter. Angels 1 Yanks 0.
Nice start!
The Angels O-W-N the Yankees.
Not right now...sloppy defense has given the Yanks the lead.
Bad night for you too, huh?
Ahem, history in the making through six innings at the Trop.
Btw, Bill, where is the Rem-Dawg tonight. Doesnt sound like him on the air? Does he have the swine flu?
We dont need to have the NESN guys bring up the fact that the Mets havent had a no hitter. Believe me, we know.
Also, doesnt Don Orsillo sound exactly like Sean McDonough?
I figured it was Buck Martinez. He has a distinct voice but I wasnt sure it was him. The Yankees look like there going to win and the Rays pound the Sox. So, how was your night Bill?
I blame Buck Martinez. Keep him the hell outta the booth.Oh well, we'll go get 'em tomorrow.
