AL EAST 2009

All Red Sox games (home AND away) are HD available.

However, with the Bruins in the playoffs, the Red Sox will be moved to NESN Plus if there's a Bruins/Red Sox conflict.

NESN Plus has an HD channel only on certain providers. I have FiOS, and unfortunately they don't have a NESN Plus HD channel. That means tomorrow night's Red Sox game will only be available in SD for me. :(

Bill, I have NESN Plus too. Comcast got rid of FOX 5 and are getting rid of the NFL Network, yet I have NESN Plus. I dont think its HD. BTW, what is HD? I mean is there really a big difference between HD and regular tv. I mean if HD is supposed to show people up close, hey, Alissa Milano, Meghan Fox, Kim Kardashian, ok, but I dont need a close up of Carlos Beltran, you know?

Mets,
When it's done right, it's amazing ...
It's like opening a window and looking outside.
Like taking a film OFF the TV set.

Jimbo said it best, Mets.

It's like looking out a window on a clear day.

I promise you, after you watch HD for a while, you will NEVER want to watch TV any other way. :) :up

Lowrie: Surgery remains a possibility

By: Carlson Mozdiez
Red Sox shortstop Jed Lowrie told WEEI.com's Alex Speier that surgery remains a possibility on his injured wrist. He will see a specialist in Arizona for another consultation. Lowrie hopes cortisone shots will be enough, but he is concerned because the problem is recurring. Check out Alex Speier's recent post on Lowrie's injury on the Full Count baseball blog.

HD, you must be loving this. The Yankees are getting pounded 14-2!!! The Indians scored 14 runs in the top of the second. You know, what's Wang with Wang? Then the Yankee fans cheer when the top of the second is over!!! Whats with that? I'd be pissed off if I was a Yankee fan. Btw, some of those exspensive seats are empty today. Wonder what the excuse will be on why there empty.

That, my friend is the ol' "Bronx Cheer" a.k.a. a VERY sarcastic cheer. ;)

Yesterday, Bill said that HD's remote would get a workout with two Cleveland games going on simultaneously.

Well, right now, he must be in heaven.

Both the Cavs and Indians are kicking ass and taking names!

I think the only real question is who'll have the greater margin of victory today (Cavs won by 18- let's see how high the Tribe can go).

They are up by 14 in the 4th, so it may be close :D

After the Indians 22-4 drubbing of the Yankees, Chien-Ming Wang's ERA went up from 28.43 to 34.50

Wang's stats after three starts:

0-3......34.50 ERA....6 IP....23 Hits......23 ER....6 BB......2 K.......4.83 WHIP.......622 opponent BA :eek::eek::eek:

After one bad start, you had to give Wang the benefit of the doubt coming back from foot surgery. After two bad starts, there was a lot of concern coming from the Yankees camp.

Now, AFTER today's debacle...........................:eek::eek::eek:

Just think how much his ERA will improve when he pitches well one of these times !

After the Red Sox came back and won, after being seven down last night, the Orioles are trying to return the favor tonight.

The Sox had a 6-0 lead going into the top of the 5th, but the Orioles have answered with four runs and are still batting.

PS, I had to change my drawers multiple times today. ;) :D

The Sox hold on to beat the Orioles, 6-4.

With the win, the Sox move out of last place.

AL East standings:

TOR- 9-4
BAL- 6-5
NYY- 6-6
BOS- 5-6
TB- 5-7

Red Sox back to .500 after winning their fourth in a row.

Jon Lester pitched seven shutout innings to pick up his first win of the season.

Ramon Ramirez continued his dominance by pitching a scoreless eighth, and ex-Dodger, Takashi Saito (who had 40 saves for LA in 07) picked up his first save in a Red Sox uniform.

I'm telling ya, I never recall a bullpen being as deep as this Red Sox 'pen. They have six options to pitch either the eighth or close.

Speaking of the BoSox- Bill, do you know who they play during Interleague Play this year?

It's the NL East this year:

Mets- May 22, 23, 24
@ Philly- June 12, 13, 14
Florida- June 16, 17, 18
Atlanta- June 19, 20, 21
@ Washington- June 23, 24, 25
@ Atlanta- June 26, 27, 28

Tomorrow is a state holiday here in Massachusetts (Patriot's Day), and I will be attending the Orioles-Red Sox game tomorrow morning at 11 AM.

I'll be among a gazillion people in the Fenway/Kenmore Square area during the Sox game and the finish line to the Boston Marathon.
