AL CENTRAL

Or a Lions fan.:D:D

Being a Lion's fan is not as tough as you would think. I'm numb from all the losing. Getting to the top of the mountain, just to fall back down short of the summit is much harder on one's soul. When you don't expect anything, anything you get is the icing on the cake.

Scratch all that. I really am freaking pissed at the Lions.

Nice win by Edwin Jackson today. He has had some solid pitching. Tiger split the series get ready for the sox next!

Bonderman pitched today in Toledo.
Went 8 inning and gave up 0 runs ....

He must have heard Leyland the other night when he said he had not been impressed with Jeremy pitching so far in Toledo (AAA).
Hens won 6-0.

Matt is a young man, he will have plenty of time left in his life to see a few championships. It could be worse, he could have been a Cubs fan.:D

I'm not so sure about that. It's now been 45 years since Cleveland last won a Championship. (1964 Browns, pre-Super Bowl).

It's been 61 years (1948) since the Indians last won the World Series.

The Cavs have never won in their 39 year existence. (Founded in 1970).

That has been a collective 145 seasons now without a title! Even Moses from the Bible only lived for 120 years! Ironically, the name of the gentleman who founded Cleveland, Ohio in 1796 was named Moses, as in Moses Cleveland. Seriously. I can not make this stuff up. :(

That's funny weird.

Well, I guess you better hope you live to be 121 yrs. old!

Edwin Jackson is looking like the deal of a lifetime. I can't believe Tampa traded this guy. He has been nothing short of amazing.

Paul, I remember his debut with the Dodgers as if it were yesterday. His folks were in the stands and Scully was all over him and them with praise and love and warmth and family stories. He pitched a gem...then he went to hell in a hat basket FAST!

It was purely a case of too much too soon for a young kid's psyche. I am thrilled to see him doing so well now. :up

Rodney is now 20 for 20 in the 9th inning this season. 10 saves, the other 10 appearances were not save situations. Maybe we have found our closer.

OK, The Yanks and Indians are on ESPN and available to me tonight.

Why is it that on Wens. night when the Red Sox play the Tigers, it will be Blacked out for me ?

I would almost bet my next paycheck, unless the rules have changed this year, but I doubt it.

I think it's the closeness to Detroit.

That's why I get blackouts for White Sox, Cubs, and Brewers games.

Check ESPN son.

Why watch that group when I can listen to Matt & John Wayne??? It's also on YES.

Our esteemed colleague MSHAW2715 mentions in another thread that STO has dropped several Tribe games that are to be nationally broadcast.

Yet another sign of a lost season? Now their flagship TV station is cutting back broadcasts to save $$$??? Sad.

OK, who actually PLAYS sports?

Shaq once had a video game of his own- a fighting game!
