AL CENTRAL

Sure I can appreciate the talent on other teams, but to work up that same type of emotion for another team would be like cheating on a wife of 27 years.

Its basically soccer plus figure skating plus boxing.

Boy, you've got a lot of guts.

Hockey is a tougher sport- Doug Weight once played a playoff game with a separated shoulder. Baseball players go on the DL for the smallest injuries.

Hockey and hoops also have big-name players who are easier to relate to- there's a reason why people are more into Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, and LeBron James than some of baseball's big-names.

Yep. I like Baseball, it's one of my favorite sports, but to say Hockey and Basketball aren't sports is just straight ludicrous! The NHL and NBA have some of the best athletes in the world!!! Athletes that would make some MLB players cry for their Mommy's.

After a terrible 2008 season, Cleveland's Travis Hafner showed that he could still hit with a tremendous start to the season, but continuing shoulder problems landed the former All Star back on the disabled list. As a team with a medium-sized payroll, the Indians can't justify $14 million on a player who can't stay in the lineup, and trading him could help fix one of the league's worst pitching staffs. -- Wall Street Journal

Um. Not to diss the WSJ, but if the Indians can't justify spending $14 on a player who can't stay healthy and is a shell of his former self, wouldn't you think he would be a pretty tough player to trade?? And if we did have a legitimate trade partner, wouldn't they think we would've pulled the trigger already?

Sincerely,

-Captain Obvious

Um $14 dollars? I think thats what front row seats behind home at Progressive Field are going for nowadays...

Looking forward to a good game tonight White Sox vs. Indians.

Oh, Captain O? Why bring up LaPorta and keep his ass on the bench? He's not in the lineup yet again tonight.
