AL CENTRAL

If the Cavs are lucky enough to make it to the Finals this year and they have a clinching game at home, you better bet your bippy I will be on the streets of Cleveland waiting to celebrate the night away with my local brethren. I often have dreams of what I'd do if that day came. Honestly, I just want to soak up as much of the memories as possible to live vicariously in the moment.

HD,

There is no feeling in the world like it. I'm thrilled to have experienced it twice. (If I were a Lakers fan I'd have experienced it more.) But if ever a city is poised to take home a trophy it is lil' ol' Cleveland. It shall come...

Baseball championships are the best. Detroit has had some good celebrations for the Wings and Pistons, but they don't even come close to watching this city explode (or at least burn) like when the Tigers have won! Those were some parties.

Vin Scully tells sthe story of how he never feared for his life more than trying to get from Tiger Stadium to his hotel after you guys won the '84 Series.

I've been fortunate to go through it six times this decade (three times with the Patriots, two times with the Red Sox and last year with the Celtics), but nothing in these parts will ever compare to the Sox finally breaking the curse in 2004.

People were hugging and high-fiving total strangers in the street, and you heard story after story of how generations came and went without seeing a Red Sox World Championship. I woke my 10 year old daughter up out of bed (she wasn't even a fan THEN), just so she could witness something her grandfather and great-grandparents never saw.

Now I'm hoping for the Bruins to have a victory parade to make this decade complete! :up

Keep rubbing it in guys! Glad you prefer one over the other. I just want a taste, just one measly nibble! I'm not gonna be picky, just give me 1 Championship, then I can start calling favorites! :)

We are not rubbing it in...just telling you what to expect when it hits Cleveland.

Yep, 11.

But we still have 2 games left against them. We're determined to break the streak up.

BTW, once we turn the calendar to May, the Injuns visit Motown for a 3 game series against the Kittens. Can't wait for that one.

I hope it'll be more competitive than other instances between Paul and Matt's teams:

Ohio State over Michigan 41-7
Cavs sweep the Pistons in four straight

The Tribe ended the Sox streak last night at 11. After a horrible start from Anthony Reyes, our bullpen looked really good. It was good to see the offense battle back every time Boston scored.

The game ended on an error in the bottom of the ninth. Boston's defense = Yikes!

Quite the contrast from the nice and quick pitching dominated game on Monday, huh?

Last night's 9 inning game took 4.5 hours to complete!

What a difference a day makes. :) I didn't get to see the comeback in the early innings....I had already switched to basketball.

Ugly game for the tigers last night. Mr. Lyon still having some struggles :(

Is there a reason why Arizona let him go so easily, though last night was one of those games you just got to move ahead from

They could have gotten out of that inning if Anderson would have caught that damn pop-up. Maybe the bullpen will get all that bad pitching out of their system with that stinko of an inning. Jackson deserves better support than he is getting. Lyons is pitching his way right out of Detroit.

1 game closer to the Kittens in the standings! We're sneaking on you Detroit. Better look out!

Shaq once had a video game of his own- a fighting game!
