AL CENTRAL

oh F***!!!!!! :(:(:(

Grady Sizmore's roommate from Montreal went deep for a 3 run dinger. First runs scored in the game came against our closer.

It always seems that closers are never the same in "non-save" situations for some reason.

I couldn't agree more. It always seems like Papelbon loses his edge when it's not a save situation.

Rodney comes in, in the 9th , gives up 2 runs, but preserves the win ...

Tigers win 4-2

Verlander 7 strong innings, 7 hits, 9 K's and ZERO Walks

Wow, your game is over before ours? For a while, I thought the Indians/Red Sox game was going to be over in under 2 hours!

2nd game in a row Cliff had an outstanding pitching performance, yet nothing to show for it.

I know that's disheartening, but he is proving once and for all that last year wasn't a fluke.

I said last year that 2007 was the aberration for Lee, not 2008.

DeRo with a single up the middle! Tribe's on the board. 3-1. 2 on, 1 out.

A stinking pop-up to end the game?! I feel cheated. :( :)

Oh well. 11 in a row for the Red hot Sox. Excellent game Bill, Cosmo and others. See you tomorrow. (Penny vs. Reyes)

Very good game, as it always seems like when these two teams meet! :up

Very underrated rivalry.

How Long Until the Tribe Calls on LaPorta?

Lets be honest, despite the fact that the Indians are only 3.5 games out in the AL Central, the offense cannot continue this amount of inconsistency if it plans on staying in contention all year long.

So the question begs to be answered. How long until our two young outfielders Matt LaPorta and Michael Brantley, whom we acquired in the CC Sabathia trade get called up from Columbus?

Of the two, LaPorta is the most ready. LaPorta is spending time in AAA between the corner outfield spots and First base, but his quickest route to the majors is in Left field. Ben Francisco is struggling right now and it's his spot up for grabs.

LaPorta's stat line reads as follows: .400 BA /5 HR/13 RBI/ 19 runs/1.245 OPS.

More importantly though, LaPorta has only six strike outs in 67 at-bats.

LaPorta has a lot of upside. I don't see why we wouldn't want to see this kid sooner rather than later.

Stay tuned Tribe fans...

OK, who actually PLAYS sports?

Shaq once had a video game of his own- a fighting game!
