I bet, seeing on April 1 the media made you believe that the Tigers would be at least 10 games up at this point. :tsk:
I had the Sox as a 81-84 win team for the season, Tigers 88-90. When Prince signed and they announced Cabrera to 3rd, with Peralta @ SS, I said right away they would be a poor defensive team. Still believe the best way to build a team is thru pitching and defense. I did think the Tigers would win the division, Thought KC would have been a bit better.

Not to nitpick, but that's a 165 game season for the Sox and a 178 game season for the Tigers. Am I missing something?

Saturday's Twins Tigers game moved from Noon local to 3PM local time to accommodate Big Fox

That sucks for me. The Tigers game was supposed to be early and we were going to get the Rays and Sox on fox. I have been watching all of the white sox games on national tv or MLB.tv to keep track of the race. Now we will get the Tigers on fox instead of FSN and the sox will be blacked out on MLB.tv. I hate the Saturday blackout rules.

Edit: Fox actually has 4 games this week and they all have postseason implications. This means they give you 1 game and make it impossible for MLB.tv and extra innings subscribers to see the other 3 games that matter that day. The reason we sign up for these packages is to see the best or most important games from around the league. Don't take the biggest games from us.

Back in April, when looking at the Tigers or all the AL Central actually, I guessed that 92 wins should win the division .... Now I can only dream the division winner gets that far.

Btw, the most wins for the division possible is 90 at this point.

I think that Cabrera is MUCH better Defensively than most give credit for.... ALL the media folks said he would be a huge liability at 3b, when looking at his current Defensive stats, he ranks 6th of 3Bmen.

Fielder after watching him all year is not nearly as good defensively as they would make him out to be ...

Tigers would be wise to find a quality SS that can hit and play SS with range .... not sure who or where he would be coming from though ... I thought Reyes was the one they should have gone after and moved Peralta to 2b .... that was my stratagy, but they didn't want to take on another potentially 20M player.

Yep, 10 for Sox, 5 for Indians. Ump calling all borderline pitches balls. About 330 pitches thrown so far in the game in the 7th. Wish I could hear Hawk & Stoney but Sox feed not on EI tonight.

The talk on Detroit 97.1 the ticket is that the Tigers are already trying to get a deal done for Elvis Andrus from the Rangers. He just signed a 3 year contract extension in February so I'm not sure what we would have to give up to get him. I'm not sure why the Rangers would be trying to deal him either. Probably just more sports talk BS.

This make perfect sense, they have this stud Profair that they want to get into the lineup, I watched him and others in the Minors All Star game, he came up this year not too long ago, I haven't been able to keep up with his progress though.

Anyways, if Profair does well, they will want to move him to the Starting SS and that leaves Elvis available for trade.

Well if they can actually get this deal done I think Andrus would be a nice upgrade at SS. The White Sox and Rays are on MLB Network tomorrow for those of you looking for something to watch at night with the Tigers playing a day game.
